GUN

IN THEIR DAY, Proto-metal outfit GUN were considered the also rans to the biggest groups of the era. (They were basically the official CREAM support band.) Nathan tipped us off on this one; its one of those records everyone asks you about when they hear it at a party. Up there with BLUE CHEER, SABBATH, and SIR LORD BALTIMORE , Adrian Gurvitz' snakey, soulful power riff style was soon copped by HENDRIX at the Isle of Wight and there's no better example than RACE WITH THE DEVIL. Nice psycho laughter on that one too. Hunter S. Thompson desert car chase music.
